a collaborative evening-length choreography by Dalya Modlin, Brandon Whited, and Calder White for Santa Barbara Dance Theater’s 49th season.
using process-driven choreographic methods and improvisational explorations as a starting point, in close collaboration with the dancers of SBDT, FORUM speaks to community and dependence, conjuring a meeting point between three distinct, multi-generational choreographic voices. through striking set and lighting design, a public space is built on the proscenium stage as an arena for conflict, cooperation, and the messy beauty of human relationships.
