BABY (2022)
25 minutes

a contemporary dance theatre piece that integrates puppetry, prop, and costume to distort perceptions of the number of “real” bodies onstage. meeting at the intersection of intimacy, anonymity, and horror, the characters in the work multiply themselves in space and project their likeness onto inanimate objects and one another, all in the pursuit of connection. deeply inspired by horror films and Rene Magritte’s “The Lovers”.

“...the piece gets at tender truths of human relationships...”
